I live in a pretty small town like 4 square miles and theres no major roads in it. I drive 5 above the speed limit usually at all times but never more then that. My friend's uncle whos a cop told her that they are on the look out for me speeding around town. It is ridiculous. I have never been pulled over or anything never even got detention when in highschool. Half the kids in town drive drunk and there on the look out for me. It's such bs. The cruise control is going to be set on the speed limit from now on so if i get pulled over i can just be like f u to the cop. Just got the car tinted not too long ago and i have exhaust coming. Really not looking forward to these pigs hasseling me over nothing

Last week I was speeding in a 70km/h zone.
I drove 105 or something. Now I'm waiting to get my ticket.
Can't wait to get the photo [:D] In europe, cops take pics of the car and driver.

Maybe it isn't true but she's just giving you a hard time. Keep driving and don't worry about it. They can't pull you over for nothing, just don't give them the reason.

i'm in the central jersey area also and i got word about 2 weeks ago that the cops in my area are cracking down on "neighborhood speeding." I have seen quite a few hiding esp. late at night. good luck man, my buddys car was on the local cops "list" and he got 3 tickets in the span of a month.

Well hears my story:
I was on my way home from school, this really long straight road between two towns, and this (http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products/unitinfo/2/mcy/5/25/yamaha_yzf600r.aspx) bike keeps acting like he want to race. So I'm thinking "OK, it's Friday, nice and sunny, why not?" So we take off, when we frist get on it he shoots away from me, obviously, but I catch back up and were just messin around. Well were crusin at around 130 the majority of the road. Hes not really pulling on me that much, not nearly as much as I had expected him to be, I guess at those speeds that bike didn't really have too much power left. Well anyways, we pass this off duty cop somewhere along the way, and he's trying and trying to catch up to us in his Chevy truck. Well when you first come into manchester the High School is on the right, so the speed limit drops from 55 to 15 for a short section of the road when school is letting out or starting. Well he, the cop, radioed ahead to some other cops in the school zone directing trafic. So as we come into the school zone I see one of the cops turn on his lights, so I go from the left lane to the right lane and turn down a road that my bank is on. I did need to do some banking but wasn't planning on it at that perticular moment. Well the "real" cop goes after the guy on the bike, and the cop in the truck gets me after I pull into the bank. We both got tickets for reckless driving.
How I got out of it I don't really know. I went to court and the judge said, "what would you like to do about this?" and I told him that I would like to keep it off my record if at all possible. And he more or less said "OK" I paid $87.75 court cost fees, and it's not on my record. I guess I just go really lucky. Needless to say, I did learn my lesson and havnen't done too much speeding latley....

Mine is pretty easy. I left Yellow's house and got nailed in a 30MPH construction zone. So I give my info and he tells me I was doing 66 then sped up to 70 after he first clocked me. I was like WTF. I know I wasn't doing 30, but 70? So he leaves comes back gives me my info and tells me to leave his township and never come back. I grab my stuff and jet. All this while yellow drives right by me and doesn't do a thing.

Yeah i have a similar story... i was clocked @45 in a 55... that right 10 less than the speed limit..... this prick tells me to get out of the car and follow him..... so i get out and follow him to the back of my car and then he starts asking me where i came from where i'm going and i i've been drinking.... keep in mind this is @ about 11:00 am on a saturday..... i wasn't drinking all i was doing was slowing down to make a turn that was coming up......i told him to give me a breathalyser (spelling) and he tells me to get back in my car..... about a half hour later this MF comes back from his car and hands me a written warning for going to slow.....

you guys are very very lucky I can't even get out of going to slow....

Hahhaha, a ticket for driving too slow, now thats funny, but Jon_Rhea you have a 2.8 right, how you take that car to 130, 2.8 are slow, and then racing a bike, what you got the PES charger?

There was no way your going to beat a bike, sounds like he was just out to have some fun.

But driving too slow, now that is funny. In Quebec on the highways they have a minimum speed limit, its great.

I love how you 1.8T guys are stuck on the concept that 2.8s are slow. The 1.8T might be faster if you drop a grip of cash, but that still doesn't make the 2.8 slow. The V6 is going to have more high end speed then a 4 banger any day of the week.

I've had mine up to the governer limit of 140 no problem. S***, if I'm having fun, the car stays in 4th gear while we're tearing around doing 80 to 110. I don't care how you try to explain it, but these cars are fast at those speeds.

A4-Vblack said it, it's not the fastest thing in the world but once you get up there, which doesn't really take that long, it's pretty quick. And when we (me and the bike) would first take off, he would up and leave me, but I would catch back up and he wouldn't be pulling really hard. When we were standing around with the cops, he told me that he was suprised I was keeping up as much as I had. DRA4, I wish I had the PES Supercharger, but unfortunatly my car is only the 12v so no supercharger for me [:(]

isnt 130 in a 55 grounds for them taking your car away? or is it arresting u on the spot? i forget.

The key is not to get caught....................... 130 in any speed zone will get you a** raped by the boys in blue.

Tycoon - Like I said, can't go past the governer. But I am getting chipped in a couple of months, so then will see!

I heard if you double the speed limit they you could get arrested and car impounted. I have been pulled over 7 times for numerous thing, racing, speeding, DD(which i will never do again), illegal lights, and wreckless driving and i have not gotten a ticket yet *knock on wood*

the best almost ticket i almost got was on my way back from ex GF's house in auburn. I was going 70 in a 35 and i passed a cop going to opp. way. He flips a bitch and i gunn it. keep in mind the road is very narrow and he had to do a 5 point turn to try and follow me. I got up to 120 and since the road is not straight it had some good turns and turn offs, i took the first turn off and parked my car around all of these other cars ans shut off my light and turned my car off, and layed down. I could see the lights from the cop fly by. I think i sat there in the dark for like over an hour waiting and waiting and waiting.

I have yet to get pulled over and NOT get a ticket. I am always cool and polite, etc, but they always give me a ticket. Always for r minor things(well 85 in a 55mph zone once) . The only time I did not get a ticket was for a burnt out tail light, the cop let me off with out a fix-it ticket, big deal. Fortunately I have only been pulled over five times in 30 years, but I a 100% pull over to ticket ratio. I guess I just look like a punk.

I came through a motorcycle speed trap doing about 85 in a 65. But the cop was stading next to the bike, and would have to merge into traffice. My Val 1 went off on laser, so knew that he had me.

I looked in the review to see that traffice behind me was heavy and I new that the next turn off was only 2 miles ahead. So this cop his huslting to get on his bike when I went screaming by. You should have seen his head snap aroud when he heard me drop it a gear and hammer the gas.

Busted out of there at over 130, took the turn, and never say the lights. Hey, i don't know to pull over if I never saw lights - right?
