W8 Overhead Sunroof Console in Pre-facelift B5

Me thinks it would work!

i was browsing the mk4 forums and i thought this might be interesting for someone, so i thought i would share.

for years the mk4 kids have put the w8 overhead sunroof console in their cars, some paint them or buy them black to match their headliners.

the big difference between the normal consoles and these--the symbols illuminate. the other major difference(other than the slight difference in looks) is that it has the "ambient led lights" like in the post facelifts.

so what makes me think it would fit?

the shape looks REMARKABLY similar, and after all, it is from a passat which is kind of like our cars.[;)]

only downside is that they are quite pricey. oh, and they are availabe at ECS tuning under vw>mk4>interior>lighting.

does anyone care to be a guinea pig? im pretty broke, or else i would.

I'd be the guinea pig, but I'm broke as well. I could justify it, if I would profit from it, but I doubt I will.
