Ok so looking through some articles and forums posts I found this number

12L/100km

for the fuel economy of the S5. That translates roughly to 19-20 MPG.

Does anyone know if this is the average number or the highway number? If it's highway number I may have to pass :\ sadly I think that's just too ridiculous a number for this car if thats what it gets on the highway.

Although now that I think about it, I don't think it could be the highway number because the RS4 kicks out more bhp at something like 14/20 (20 on the highway) so there's no way the S5 could be the same... For now I'll assume that that's the average number.

I would imagine it has better mileage then the S4 since it weights less with 2 less doors. 14/20mpg is S4 range.

Isn't that the RS4 range? I couldn't believe that the S4 gets the same mileage as the RS4 with a 70 bhp difference.

One of the magazines that tested the S5 reported that they had gotten 22.3 MPG. Considering that magazines all vigorously test their cars, I am thinking that the car will average in the 23+ range, though while playing I am sure we will be in the mid-teens, and while cruising down the interstates, getting in the mid/high 20's.
