You can use 4gb cards, but the maximum capacity limited by the RNS-E is 500 songs per card, so getting larger cards isnt always better. 4gb will be fine. I use Sandisk SD cards in my RNS-E, if that helps.

Transcend 150x 4GB are fine as well.

Any SD card is fine, up to 4GB - as long as it isn't SDHC. I've got two non-name 4GB's in mine and they work a treat, as well as a 2GB Sandisk.

SDHC uses a different memory addressing method than the normal SD cards, and the RNS-E will not recognise it.

Thanks!

I also have 2 no name (or I just cannnot remember) 2 gig cards. Do some cards read faster, like the Ultra II cards for example?

I'll definitely stay away from the SDHC cards as I amost bought one from Cosco.

Are you sure about the 500 song limit? I just installed a 2GB card that had 600+ songs on it. All of the songs appear to be on the card.

I saw one post that said the max was 99 songs per folder w/ a maximum of 99 folders. Since I just got my s4, I have yet to verify this, but will try to soon and post on the findings.

I'm pretty sure it's higher than that at least per folder.
