universal vag-tool? [Archive]

Hey guys,
So i was about to order a vag-com but my dad wanted me to first check if there were any devices that could attach to more cars (we have a lincoln navigator and a volvo s40 as well). Even though i told him i dont think anything exists in this price range, he said hed be willing to pay up to $500 for a such a device. If anyone knows of anything id appreciate it.

Check out HPA Motorsports http://www.hpamotorsports.com
They have a VAD that works with a Palm Pilot. Does everything that the VAG-COM does. I think retail price is $299 not including the Palm Pilot. The $299 gets you the cable and software.
I'm not sure if the VAD is on the Website. You might have to call them. Ask for either Melanie or Jared.
