has anyone used the Mr. Clean Autodry for washing there car

I've always wanted to know if this thing works or if it's just a gimmick. If anyone here has used it, please give me some input on it.

i would recommend it 200%..it will blow your mind away..i've used it about 10 times on my car now..best car wash ever every time

just make sure u have a bucket and mittens...after you put the soap on the car..get some of the soap from the bottle and put it in the bucket and go through the car with the mittens...also when it cmoes down to the final step make sure u go back and forth more than once so it can dry off really well...

i had bad results w/ it i think it has to do w/ the water down here in aliso viejo...really hard...it left marks on the black finish [:(] i'll sell you mine for real cheap if you want it.

So, first off, I'm pretty anal about cleaning my car. But, I gave it a try anyway. What I found is that the stuff does work. But, I didn't really find that it saved me much/if any time. I've washed my car so often, that I have a routine down that allows me to do it pretty quickly. For the autodry system to work, you have to really go over the car very carefully with the deionized water, or whatever the hell it is. The time that took me, I would have been done drying the car by then. Particularly since I generally blow out all the nooks and crannies of the car and then dry it off, it just didn't save a lot of time, requires you to buy their product (which is the whole point of them having developed it) and no matter how well it works, it will never be as good as drying your car with a soft towel/microfiber, which will also act as a buffer of the finish.

So, my evaluation is that it does what it says it will do, which surprised me, but it really isn't for someone that is anal about their cars paint. Saving 5-10 minutes tops isn't worth a slightly inferior job that requires you to buy their soap & filters.

well for me it aint about the time saving...u aint the only one that's anal about his car but what u should be anal about is protecting your paint and not talking it to any of the car washes..becuz they use the mittens they have more than 30 times a day and just imagine all the crap that sticks to thsoe mittens..anyway to make this sure this product seems very reasonable to me as there is no contact that u make with the car's paint (unless you use mittens like me) which is whats best to keep all the swirls and marks away...

Sure, it might be better than a commercial car wash. That wasn't what I was comparing it to. I was comparing it to washing it yourself, with a good pair of wash mitts, and good car wash soap and some good towels. That's all you need. For people that don't mind spending $15-20 to get their car washed everytime and don't mind if the people washing your car don't really care about your car or if they leave water spots on it too long before drying it, or check their towel to be sure it is debris free before putting it on your finish, this isn't a replacement for that. If you didn't wash your car yourself before, you're not going to go out and buy this product and all of a sudden think it is a revolutionary product. This is something to compare to your previous methods of doing it yourself. If it doesn't do it quicker, or better, or more cheaply, then why use it?

We bought it last week at work to try it out. You don't need to use the soap that comes with it, you can use any kind. If you clean the car (soap-wise) properly and completely, and finish it off with the de-ionized water it works out (or should) excellent.

It really works for my work because we can wash a car and not have to dry it, so we can start on another car, etc, etc. It works just as well as hand-drying but without the time-consumption.

I would definitely recommend it for times when you have other things to do than dry the car.

my problem with washing my car when i'm ready to dry it, alot of the car gets dry spots by the time i get to it. Whenever i have time to wash my car it's during the day, so the only attractive feature of this product to me would be the method in which it dries.
