i already posted this on the classifieds/wanted forum but i thought i'd post it here as well.
i'm helping out my friend who is seriously looking to buy a used A4. she got into a car accident a couple of weeks ago, and her car was totaled. she's using my car in the meantime until she can get an A4.
here are her wants:
automatic/tip preferred but she doesn't mind a stick
2.8 (but if 1.8 then Audiboy can mod for her later, hee hee [:D])
B5, 1998-2001
black, but will consider other colors
budget is 12K-16K
it would be nice to have the seller local or within CA

Scary that I'm responding to this post. But, in the neverending quest for bigger, better and faster, I might be persuaded to part with my baby. I'd have to part out lots of stuff, like, of the course, the Supercharger, find some stock wheels, but if she would be interested in an immaculately maintained 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro, Santorin Blue (it's not black, but just as dark) Tiptronic, with 42,000 miles on it, we could talk. e-mail at dparnas@schwab.com
I just went out to Edmunds.com and checked to see what it valued my car at and it put it at $22k dealer retail, $20k private party sale and $18k trade in. So, it may not fit with her price range.

hmmm...not really yellow, and not really photoshopped...it's a yellow vinyl film. held on by static cling =)

so with the value of 20-22K--is that w/ all the mods you currently have or would that be after you put everything back to stock?

haha...more like i stumbled onto a roll of yellow tinted and blue tinted vinyl, a pair of scissors, and alot of boredom. (well not that simple, but you get the idea)

Jenny, you know I can find a nice lease return Audi A4 if you friend wants one...just have Eugene talk to me about it..or call me directly. I will be at your house this Saturday morning...we can talk then.
