OK, I know this is super early notice, but as some of you might know, JGTC is coming to the US for a special event down in Fontana, CA. You best believe, this event will be off the hook! [cool]
If you have never heard of the JGTC, its basically the NASCAR of Japan, only the cars are super-tuned and much more sophisticated than the archaic NASCARs. I think the only comparison you can make with each series is the fender-to-fender action where racers actually bump eachother and tear up fenders just to gain positions. Its basically all Supras, NSXs, Zs, and Skylines in the GT500 class.
Here's the link for more info:
JGTC USA (http://www.jgtcusa.net/gtlive_event.html)
Tickets aren't on sale yet, but you best believe an event like this will sell out quickstyle. If you take a look at all the events going down, you'll understand that this event is no joke.
In addition to the JGTC races, there's a drift competition, car show, time attack competition(road racing event), audio competition, vendor expo, dyno machines, and an autocross event!!! Its gonna be a can't-miss event as you can see.
So let's plan a caravan or if the Norcal peeps don't want to drive, let's plan a socal trip and fly out for that weekend. I'm gonna go regardless if you euro bastids are down or not. HAHA
Ken: you got hook-ups for this??? maybe we can get a group deal goin on...HOLLA! [cool]

OK here's the dealio!
i already got a hold of jgtcusa, more info to come around august... they still have to figure out the car show, audio competion and autocross stuff...
this is a first come first served basis, basically you pay $65 for the whole weekend to watch the race plus more benefits (it's $15 more than the regular weekend pass) but you get special VIP parking and stuff...

I heard this event will be jampacked, so we should start organizing this by the end of August or early September.
Ken: I know you loooove to organize things like this and since you got the hookups, I'm gonna leave it up to you. hehe My fellow Nissan SR20 folk and beginning to organize as we speak, so let's not sleep on this otherwise we'll be assed-out. I can't wait for this event!

Start doing some work for AZ'ers!? Ummm...OK... [rolleyes]
So I guess I should be in charge of organizing events for our Members from the East Coast to the West, up in Canada and across the pond. Sorry guys, but I have to stay out of such things and not be biased towards one particular region.
If someone would like to step up and be in charge of this they have my full backing and blessing. Will do what I can on my end to help out, but cannot be in charge of it. Sorry.

I'm in for this! How does one sign up for the autocross? Looks like there are two events, Drive factory cars and drive own cars, is that right? I want to sign up for the Carrera GT[:D]
Is the race a road course or oval? Looks like it is the full track that combines turns 1, 4 of the oval, and the road course.

Oh boy...I'll gladly step up if I had contact info of the JGTC people so we can get the ball rolling. I'm kinda busy as well with work and such, so its not gonna be as quick-fast as most of you are used to.
Let's see, who's unemployed right now...hehe

i aleady contacted stephen of JGTC about this.. but it's no good until we really pay them to secure the spot
... so let's see some serious heads that are interested, we need 20 cars at $65 each for a 3 day pass!
i'm in if there's a snowboard trip right after it...and if i'm still on this coast by then...
