Not sure if this is a repost or not..so dont start flaming...but read on and basically, they concluded what I thought the new S5 would be like...just like the current S4 [rolleyes]

wow, what an awful review.
very disappointing.
i guess the plus is i won't feel like i am missing much when i pick up a b6 s4.
i would like to see some more reviews though to get a more well-rounded opinion, before i conclude the s5 does in fact suck, like the review purports.

in all honesty..it wont be bad....to me, it sounds like, even with the FSI, the car will run and feel pretty similar to the current S4s...i figured with FSI and the extra ~10hp and ~20tq, that it would make it a lot more responsive too, basically giving it that raw type of feeling...but i guess not...it seems that the 3.2 version is going to be more fun to drive....

It has similar power to the S4 now, and is a bit lighter, so yes, it is going to be a bit faster, (5.1 vs 5.3) but we knew this was not a rocket ship. The understeer can always be fixed with larger sways, as we all install anyways. I always say this is a 2 door version of the current S4. You want a rocket, wait for the RS5... and even that will prob be slower then the ///M3. That’s just how Audi does it, but you know, that’s not the reason I own an Audi. You want to go fast get a mustang, you want to turn fast, get a lotus, you want to be surrounded by a beautiful cabin and live when someone hits you at 80mph on the jersey turnpike, get the Audi

i not saying i was expecting this thing to be FAST, but MORE fun to drive....no FUN factor and it's a coupe...that's all im saying

no..but the guys on TopGear, are usually dead on with their reviews..i shouldn't have used the word FUN...substitute that for "RAW" i was hoping for a little more raw coming from the coupe...that's it

for a raw audi you need t step up to the R8 the A5 was never meant to be a raw car.

if you havent noticed top gear has to play to the ear of the majority of the populus--those who know only a mediocre amount about cars. they prefer ferrari over porsche, everytime... what does that tell you? they rant about the bmw's and always end with "its a great car" because it IS a great car for the majority of people. those of us going after audis are definitely NOT the majority of people. we want something unique, beautiful, comfortable, and eye grabbing. i see 10 335i (half of which are coupes) every single day at LEAST, just on my commute. we dont want a car that is seen once for every 10 cars you pass. we want the car that bmw owners go "what is that D:". they'll never be able to appreciate what audi has put into this car.
ok i totally changed subjects but just to sum it up: top gear has to play fancy to the car companies that people WANT to hear about (which is why top gear is the most popular automobile review show on television). so dont take everything they say to heart, theyre just telling most people what is more worth their money (rather than which one is more worth their love and soul!).
