View Full Version : RNS-E installed... little off

I just finished the installation of my RNS-E nav, plug & play. All is well. Put the GPS antenna behind the cluster like everyone else. I checked all the connections, got about 4-5 satellites on average and I went for a test drive. It seems like the GPS is about 10 feet off. When I make a turn, the actual turn on the map is a good 10 feet in front of me, after I make the turn, it corrects itself. Is there any way to fix this or will it adjust on it's own?

Did you monkey around with engineering mode/rolling diameter? Are your wheels an unorthodox size?

I didn't touch engineering mode yet, they're typical B5 S4 rims... But I will check that, thanks Scott!

How do you actually change these settings? What is it under? And what would I set it to for 17" 225/45 rims/tires. Thanks again!

You might want to put it in "learning mode" it will adjust. Mine was off when I first put in it, but about 50ft, but now it's dead on.

It will take up to 10 min to calibrate.
It it is still of...check speed signal in enginerring mode and antenna placement.

It seems a bit more accurate now that I've been driving for a while. The antenna is exactly where everybody else puts theirs, behind the cluster. As for "learning mode" where is it and how do you put it in that mode?
