When a chip is installed, does it take a while to adapt to the ecu? I hear that the first day the power feels the same or not as powerfull but the 2nd day on its alot better. Is this true?

when i got chipped i didnt feel the power right away. in fact i didnt feel anything at all.

and then after i parked my car for a few hours and then started up it up...when i drove home after that... OMG...

it TOTALLY opened up.

on another note... i just went in for my 5k service...

im wondering if its possible that the dealer could have gotten rid of my GIAC programming..

cuz after i picked up the car from the dealer... it just felt... SLOW...

it didnt feel very good at all...

fong, when you put it in tip, does it feel any differernt? Well, I went to my dealer to see why I got cel, it turned out to be a crack vaccum hose and bad maf, I had it replaced under warranty. As for the chip, I did the apr chip since my dealer will cover under warranty where the giac wont. to see the difference because like I said before I thought I was chipped with either giac or apr. Well, when I pulled out from the dealer, Iwas like it feels like crap, was not like how it was, I was thinking stock! It use to really pull, so now I really thought I had the giac chip installed. But later in the day I had the car sit for a few hours. Took it out again, Big difference, it pulls hard and smooth, like before hard to say feels the same but I can feel the torque more now then before . Around 50mph it starts to pull or shoot out again. In tip mode its a different experience, here I can really feel the torque and pull, it felt better in tip mode, you can really feel the power! the apr trial did not feel this way, it felt like how when I first pulled out of the dealer today. I guess there is a difference from the trial but Iam not sure. The only thing I changed was the dv to hyperboost Hx. The giac will probably be stronger but this is enough for me as a daily driver and warranty coverage.

if they did, you can just take it back to your giac dealer and have it reflashed back in (no charge, i believe).

turn off your radio and listen to your turbo... if it's barely audible, then you're back to stock.

oh, and to answer the "learning period" question, the GIAC serial port programming is "no learning period, just get out there and have fun." That was the exact quote from Garrett himself. [:D]
