You took delivery of your A4?
I flashed back last night and remembered when the owner met me by my job to drop off the car.
I had 2 more hours at work and I couldn't wait to drive it home. I was a little nervous because it was my first manual car and haven't masterded it yet. The drive home was hillarious I was revvin out every gear, blasting the cheezy concert radio... LMAO... Good times...
The night was so cool... It brought a smile on my face...

Good times.. I still remember the day I picked up my A4. It was March 3rd, 2006. The car belonged to a young married couple and it was their first new car that they had ever purchased together, so it had some sentimental value to them. I couldn't believe the guys wife started to cry as I pulled out of their driveway, but he was assured it was going in good hands.
I definitely thought I was ballin' that first night.. and for the next couple of weeks, I wanted to drive everywhere. lol I ended up taking the car on its first road trip probably two weeks after I got it. We took a 5 day trip up to VT to go riding and test out the quattro :)
Now 1 year, 12 tickets, 5 suspensions, 2 revocations, and 19 parking tickets later, I bought what I've been dreaming of since day 1. On May 30th, 2007, 1 day after my birthday I finally got my hands on a 2000 S4. [cool] [race] Black with White/Cream Alcantara on Silver with a few goodies to match. Although this car is beautiful, it will be going a much different route than the A4. I am selling the A4 and will be hopefully picking up a daily driver by the end of the year, so I can start tearing this beast apart. So for the time being, anyone interested in a 99.5 Black on Silver A4, 75k miles?

So I had been looking at B5 A4 sedans online a good amount of time before I was serious about looking at cars. I didn't like the ones with the Concert radio, I liked the Symphony radio, which is funny because I like the Concert more than the Symphony now that I've had it for a while. Then I decided I like the Hyundai Tiburon's and that I was going to rice it(but I didn't think it would be rice--I was so wrong). We then looked at a 2004 Jetta GLI which we loved. Low miles(35k), perfect condition, and when we offered $15k the dealership said ok if we came back in a couple days since we had to be somewhere else soon and it was a Saturday. We did, and the best they could offer us was $22k then. So then I liked Volvo's and was looking at a 1998 V70R. It wasn't in superb condition and the guy was not being negotiable, so we looked that off. Then I went to a car show and saw a B5 S4 Avant with Anthracite Flik Justices and it had been K04ed. All of the sudden Avants seemed really cool.
So we looked at 3 Avants. The first was a 1998 2.8 with 80k miles, absolutely perfect Brilliant Yellow paint, black leather interior, and they were asking $11k. The second was the one we bought, a 1999 1.8t with 88k miles, silver exterior was decent, but not perfect, and very nice black leatherette interior, and they were asking $10k. The third was a 2001 1.8t with about 60k miles, grey leatherette interior, silver exterior in good shape. Steering wheel squeaked at low speeds. And she was asking $14k. The latter was eliminated solely because she wasn't going to budge on the price and it had a light interior. And we didn't get the first one because it had the 2.8 and I like the way the 1.8t drove a bit better--and it had the wood trim which I wasn't too fond of.
So we bought it on June 26, 2006. Car was owned by a couple that was about to get married. They had just moved to a house with less garage space. The soon-to-be-wife just had surgery on her shoulder(they were both semi-professional bikers, hence my scratched/scraped up rear bumper) so her arm was in a sling. The soon-to-be-husband was just diagnosed with something(i kind of want to say cancer, but I'm not totally sure.)
We bought the car. And then as we were about to drive off we noticed they had left some stuff in the car(sunglasses holder, garage door remote) So we ran over to them to tell them they had left them. They were really thankful. I also asked if they wanted the cassette-->mp3 adapter, they said no thanks, and that we can keep it. It turns out that wouldn't come out and thats why they didn't want it, haha. Thankfully it works, so I use it every day, and it is one of the best looking adapters I've seen(it is black with a spiral cord).
We then took it to the dealer on the way home because we couldn't get the CD changer to work, and it still doesn't. There were a bunch of broken CD's in there, but now that they are out, I'm still not sure why it doesn't work. So I'm considering putting a Phatbox or a subwoofer in that area.
Looking back, I absolutely love this car. At times I wish it was Brilliant Yellow just so it would stick out a bit more, but then I like my silver too. 100k miles and still rocking.
Wow that was long.

That was an adventure...
Glad it worked out for you...
I was going to get a Sc300 manual and turbo charge it... Good thing i didn't because that car didnt age that well.
98 sc 300 vs 98.5 a4 i'll take my car everytime.
5 days after I got mine the turbo and clutch both blew up the same day.

Drove through the siskyous up from long beach cali to portland oregon, temp was like 37 through the mountains. I loved the awd and the full k04 setup. Worked a civic si that was trying to play through the twisties he was on it I was not and I walked away and didn't see him until the rest stop in medford OR, talked to him (good guy) he said he thought his car was fast but I made him look slow so slow. I love AWD[drive] . I liked the k04 but I got the BT itch and am gettin one from bitter as we speak.[race]

I remember I had to let my dad pick it up because I had to go to the doctors which I forgot I had an appointment. Then I remeber waiting outside my house watching for him to come down the street. Then when he came I was so excited I took out for a spin. Ahhh good times in that car.

It was almost a year ago .I remember waiting for my dad to sign the paperwork with the seller so I stuck behind without a key and was looking at the car through the glass when 3 cop cars blocked me in and 5 cops starting questioning me. they didn't believe that I was 17 buying the audi. I didn't care what they thought so they threatened to put me in their car with handcuffs on till my dad got there. I thought I was pretty baller in that thing, especially after a 95 civic.....i got used to it now though so I only get a sense of what the first time was like when i drive some hoopty around then hop back in the a4.

I got mine a little over a year and a half now....it was in Ann Arbor, Michigan... and I live in Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I had never driven a manual car before...but i knew this was the car i was gunna get....
Hopped into my mom's minivan early one morning with 4 of my buddies. I drove for 3 1/2 hours and finally got to the previous owners house. He took us for a test drive...and 5 mins later I handed him the bank check..my friend drove it back home for me, while i was in the passenger seat. As soon as we got back home i hopped into the drivers seat and got started learning how to drive a manual car....it's been fun.

Mom bought the car from dan3241981 (old az member) back in early 2003. mom started to let me drive it in rural neighborhoods during winter of 2004 (i was only 14 back then..no permit..no l's..nothing!) with her in the car of course :]. got my permit march of 2006, got my license september of 2006, paid my mom $7000 for the car :D.Drove it like a 16yr old in the first month, only got 220miles to the tank, then I conserved my driving a lot! Now i'm getting 320 a tank :DD

my first car buying expirience or should i say mistake, was finding a car on craigslist, from a used car dealership, it said 124k fully loaded, mt 2.8 3500! i was so happy. me and my dad when to check it out. the car was 4 rows deep at the lot. i hopped in saw it actually had 135k on it, badly ripped seat, wearing steering wheel cover, no armrest cover, broken cupholders(which i had no idea were cup holders until my second audi) and a shitty pioneer deck. oh and not to mention coffee stains on the floor. the guy asked if we wanted to take it for a spin. of course i said yes. my dad had to drive because i didnt know stick well enough, as he didnt drive stick for numerous years also. we pull out of teh drive way and we hear giant clunks. thought nothing of it. went back and bought it because i was a dumbass thinking a 2.8 was less expensive to work on because it didnt have aturbo. rolled out of the lot with a 97 fwd 12v, no owner manual, only valet key oh and it had to be jumped to start. went home, two weeks later i think im sick and go fast around the block w/ my friend in thecaar and slide into an oncoming truck. broken control arms front fender and bumper. take it to the shop to and they also find 2 broken motor mounts from when the day i bought it, which they fixed and they werent even the problem, the front snub was all tore up which lead me to take it back to the shop, they still didnt fix the snub. but they did replace the motor mounts for free, which ended up breaking again because the tornup snub. anyway to this day its in my driveway, had to jump it to start it today, still a fucked up bumper w/ wrong color fender and now i really really want it out of my life. so im going to put the price tag on it of 3500 so it will get out of my driveway
oh ya finally did a carfax, found out it was a corprate lease car, 5 owners and it came from mass. LIVE AND LEARN ^

Haha, my case exactly. The guy dropped off the car at my work during lunch, but I still had like 5 hours to go before I could drive it.....finally I couldn't take it anymore so I ran out during break and took it for a blast aroung the block.
Good times.[drive]

By March 2006 was lookig for a car, strolled around all the private dealers, was very frustrated , had to choose this out of many other good cars i test drove, 2.8 A4, E36 325i, E46 328ci.. then it came down to either the 1.8t A4 or the E46 328ci.. so i choose my lovlely A4.. still have no regrets.. i took it for a spin loved it how smooth it shifted, i was showing it of at school with the gas indicator ligth on!! ;))))))

february 2007, i had a 2001 tricked out eclipse gt with an almost blown motor... was my first car and i beat the shit out of it for the 2 years i had it.. wanted to get an f-150 but couldnt find one... found this audi and saw it was turbo and stick... mint condition for a 1998... decided to make a deal and give them my eclipse.. First time with stickshift, and i didnt really understand how a turbo worked... drove it home, and found out the turbo didnt work... drove the car back to the dealer 4 times before they had everything fixed... now i have a brand new stock turbo with only 5k miles on it.. have been happy ever since, and mods have been great
