if you're gonna spend that much $$$ you might as well try to go RS6 (bi-turbo v8).
if you can find a wrecked 2003 (sedan) RS6... motor/tranny/ECU would be pop and swap with A6 avant (hypothetically). you probably want the drivetrain too.
But... not sure how you could get it to fit in a B6 chassis...
