my beautiful HRE 540R's [;)] They're on there way to their new home [car], a Brilliant Red S4. I think they'll be happy. Sad to see them go, but I had to. Now for some new wheels (and ones that clear my BBK). Hmmm, I wonder what I'm getting. You'll know soon enough (4 weeks).

It's a PITA to do, but I want the buyer to be happy. Plus, I want the item to be as safe as possible.

That's a 1" thick piece of heavy duty foam in between the wheels, along with tape on the lip and another piece of thin foam. Much harder to harm the outside of the wheel this way. And by putting them in the box, the shipper has to handle it a certain way, unlike if they were strapped together and exposed more.

Sh!t! Another set of HRE's that don't clear a BBK?!? That isn't good. [mad] [rolleyes] What happened? Who did you buy them from? Didn't the dealer and HRE know about the BBK? What were the specs (size, ET, lip width)? Is either one taking responsibility for the goof up?

Those are so slick. I'm sure the buyer will be quite happy, nothing like a crappy packing job to ruin the moment of your new arrival.
