Door blades round 2: Flat or S4??

Thanks to Carson I got a set of flat door blades in Atlas Gray so I had my bodyshop guy repaint the S4 blades matte black to match the S4 rear bumper part.

So what do you think? I really liked the clean lines of the flat blades when i had them on. I just put on the S4 blades today and it changes the look of the car quite a bit.

Hmmm. I like the clean lines very much. The flat black S4 blades give a "Sportier" look (at least +5hp)[:p] , but I've seen it before. I give the flats points for originality and overall cleanliness.

And damn I love those wheels. I may have to copy you someday.

Winston, you should get the SLINE blades, not the S4s =).

from one avant owner to another though, i personally dig the flat paint matched look. more paint however, makes the car heavier and thus you will be slower off the line.

Wheels are SDS invidias

Quidbert: The blades used to be painted the same as the body. I just didn't think they showed up very well.

With the skirts I think it looks cleaner without the door blades. Color matched USP blades would look best but it's cool you are doing something different to set you car apart. Overall sweet ride!

Man, I think that your Avant looks great both ways. I must say this is one of my favorite avants... You can't go wrong really. Nice neighborhood in BC BTW.
That's the life! Living in BC and driving a kick ass Avant, it doesn't get any better than that...!

im really undecided about which looks better. your car is so hot either way! that stance and those rims just set it off so well!

Stay with the flat blades and in body colour. It looks much cleaner and isn't cluttered like the S4 blades and your side skirts.

When I look at the pics again I think they have to be some of the worst pics I have ever taken.

Due to the angle it makes my Avant look fat and bloated like a minivan.

People who have seen the S4 blades on in person all say it looks a lot better than in the pics.

I'll post up some pics post-detailing so see what you people think.
