For those running 19in wheels in the Bay Area especially in the City, do you find yourself running into problems with bad roads that are around? Bending the rims or lip of the rims and what not?

Not even in the city, but you gotta pay to play. Well actually CalTrans has to pay. [;)] These are 18's too, and forged aluminum...

Ben, it's only a problem if you drive your car a LOT!, in your case, you're ok, you won't have problems since you don't drive a lot and never leave SC anyways, how can you bend rims [:D] [;)]

i'm more scared of the city dwellers who don't give a sh*t when they are parking their "designated city beater" while parallel parking..rather than the pot holes!

I avoid driving in the city and in SJ. But everywhere else in the penninsula seems to be ok so far.
I do miss driving in the city with my 16s tho. Hahah.. I still remember parking at Hooters. I just drove up and on the curb, doing the whole one shot parking deal ike it was nothing...
ahh... the good 'ol car free days.

i personally wouldn't get 19's living in SF because of the roads, but to each their own. 18" BBS CHs (which have a reputation for being pretty bulletproof) have survived pretty well except for 1 rim:

BBS customer service was great though...they replaced the rim under warranty after determinining that the rim was not bent (which i guess would be indicative of hitting a pothole). not sure how that crack happened other than from hitting a pothole though <shrug>

funkadelic: it happens man it baffles me as well how something would crack like that and not be bent

I wonder if its so stiff that it cracks instead of bends...

that's how the technos are...they're so brittle that they just crack, although the tolerance level is pretty high.
gave up running nice rims daily around here.
these were 18's too

having rims that you don't care about feels so much better.

No problems so far. Although I have hit a couple that sounded fierce... but after checking no bends or cracks. (whew)
no problems yet. but the city can be ruthless to those 19"s. got to take it slow sometimes. [:D]
