And even with my cracked mani and 4 less psi of boost than the car should be making, I still was 1/2 a CL ahead at the top of second. I couldn't believe it. Supposedly this guy ran a 13.99 at the track recently which isn't bad for those trucks (so I'm told). By the top of third he was more than a few CL's behind so I shut it down. We started from about a 5 mph roll right after a stop light and he even got the jump on me. The guy (older fellow) was a good sport though. As he drove by after the race, he smiled and gave me the thumbs up to which I responded with the same friendly gesture. Nice to see there's a few nice guy's out there that still enjoy a friendly stoplight duel.
For all the "street-race" nazi's out there, this was story was completely computer generated. [;)]

The Dodges only look fast. A guy had a new body Viper and a Ram SRT-10 (or whatever the Viper truck is called) at Gingerman. He ran the truck for a couple sessions before getting booted. The truck wasn't fast enough to be safe on the track and was declared a hazard. His lap times in the 550+ hp truck were slower than my 240 hp A4 on street tires with full interior. He said it runs a low 13 second quarter.

LOL, yea I don't think I'm selling my car anytime soon.....
I like the Doge ram trucks....my neighbor had a regular hemi and it was supoer nice and comfy inside. It used to cost him something like $70 to fill up the tank though. that's crazy.

yeah...but not bad for a big truck with a drag coefficient worse than a brick wall.

16 gallons in an A4?
I thought the tanks were only 16.1 gallons.

IMO those trucks are only good in the straight line. I wouldn't feel comfortable on the twisties with one, or at least the Ram's that I have driven.
My car may be pretty damn slow as a chipped 1.8, but I feel confident in the handling.

I'm talking about the $67,290 Hemi SRT-10 pickup that ran in One Lap of America. This wasn't that particular truck but it was nicely modified and track prepped. That thing is a pointless waste of resources.
The K04 is supposed to be 240 bhp but I'd bet my Neuspeed 17 psi software is closer to 220. Still whupped that truck's ass.

the srt-10 pickup really isnt fast, i did some runs on 87 with one, and we were neck and neck to 130mph, when we shut it down

I don't think HIGH 12's to low 13's in the 1/4 is all that slow...
