in case you haven't seen it at the "other" forum:

sorry for the shit pictures, but my bedroom is very poorly lighted. I got bored tonight so I tinted/smoked a spare taillight. Now if anyone knows where I can get a drivers side lense cheap, I can complete the project.

Kinda funny that you two need opposite lights.

Nice work with that, the smoking looks good

my car is in the body shop as of yesterday trying to fix my telephone pole mod. But once it gets out, i'll throw the lense on and take a pic...but that might not be for another 2 weeks or so. They said its going to take atleast 7 days to fix my car at this point, and they haven't even looked at the suspension damage yet.

I want to know how that's done, i've always liked it but never knew how to do it right. So if anyone can help me that would be great.

I picked up a small $5 can of Testors translucent "Tint" spray for rc cars at local hobby shop. I then just taped off the clear turn signal area with blue painters tape. Then I just applied several light coats, and kept layering it. I actually used the whole can. It took only about an hour or so. Once I get another taillight, i'll do it all over again, and then spray both taillights with a clearcoat. Its really easy to do.

I didnt want to do that but now it looks like Im gonna have to. I did it on my M3 with an actual lens tint I picked up at PepBoys. Going to pick up another can now.

do you remember what it was called? I went to pepboys yesterday and they had no clue what I was talking about. They told me to go down to the local ricer stereo shop (which was closed by that time), so I just opted for the hobby shop spray.
