Nice, but not true. There was an episode of Mythbusters that I watched that disproved this theory of increased gas mileage with acetone

Acetone is one of the many used in the "Octane Booster" market. mainly used for its cleaning properties (detergent), it helps remove grime off of fuel injectors.
