A6 or S6 Avant???

Well, I have been looking throughout the Audi lineup and the big avant seems to catch my eye..... I want the 4.2 V8 .... I would like to convert to coilover suspension with aftermarket wheels and a nice exhaust system.... I am an "OLD GUY" I like roadtrips.... BLOWING the doors off of the unsuspecting really appeals to me ...

Seems like that's the car for you then. The V8's a tried and true engine for Audi/VW, should serve you well. I wish they offered more powerful engine choices for the current A6 Avant here in the States.

Only for your reference, I drive an A6 avant 4.2 (AR actually). This morning, I had some douche in a brand new modded civic si try me off the line. I jogged on him so fast it was hilarious, and I was on the false stop, floored he would've cried.

I realize this doesn't say too much, but as far as blowing the doors off of the unsuspecting,,, you got it.

Well I love my S6...for the same reasons you will...comfort, performance, looks, utility and sleeperness (I don't know if thats a word, but you get the idea). I LOVE MY S6 Avant!!!

It's a pretty rare car though, there can't be too many out there for sale.

I loved my S6. Good power, and there should be a Supercharger out for them soon (2 weeks!). There are plenty of good suspension upgrade options and they look fantastic. There are a lot of guys on the boards here that know how to source good S6's...

That's an easy one S6 all the way. IMHO after the RS6 and along with the S4 it is the best looking and most fun to drive Audi period.
And believe me you will blow the doors off the unsuspecting as well as the ones who expect it also.
A lot of people think that you can't mod an S6 but in fact you can if you do the research...

well then you really have 2 choices:
s6 avant or 2.7t allroad+chip+exhaust will move you close if not even to s6;)
