I'm headed to the track tonight....I ran a 15.4 a few weeks ago on a dirty set of injectors, bad plugs and coil packs....Everytime i'd hit full boost the car would shake and cut out like crazy....The boost gauge would jump around like it's on some sort of foreign crack....But anyways, i'm hoping to go drop down into the mid to high 14's tonight....If not, i'll cry

PS, has anyone else ever had that problem with the ignition system???? The problem completely fried my Denso Iridium plugs....Eh well....Anyways ...this thread should be the official track time thread

Custom CAI (pulls underneath the car) Boral, MTM software, ignition solution coils, Snub mount, Integral 14 pound 18's.......Clutchmaster Dual friction with lightened flywheel, more but i can't think of them. Basically about every bold on minus front mount and turbo

If your boost gauge is fluttering like that, then I'd say you probably have a torn BPV.

The Denso Iridiums are the problem here.
They are almost the worst plug when dealing with a turbocharged car. I guarantee you that if you grab a set of NGK BKR6E and gap them a little smaller than stock, you'll get down near 15.0-14.9. Every tenth of a second counts. Boost and timing are extremely crucial to a good 60' time and a good E/T.
I would gap those plugs to 0.028" and do it with a leaf style gapping tool. Those coin style ones are lousy for making a uniform gap.
