I know you all know the outcome, I was absolutely punished. BUT...the first run from about 20-65 I held my own for a little, and was pleasantly surprised. Theres absolutely no doubt the car is a beast, but you all know that. Just figured you'd like to hear another audi bashing story, and hopefully I can get some pics of the Monaco Blue Pearl monster up later today.
Oh, also, for all of you BMW interior haters...I must say, this car with the Nav/Premium/Idrive etc etc is certainly on par with audi.
End of story.

I don't see how you can say this interior is on par with Audi. And comparing iDrive to our MMI system is a joke. Not intending to bash you, but hands down BMW doesn't come close to Audi interior design and function.

HAHA I dont know about that one I have driven a GTRS Tip(which is a better turbo then the one you have) and it was not that fast especially on the low end it was very slow. With your tip and quattro you get a huge amount of drivetrain loss and the transmission is very slow at shifting.

not my arguement buuuut.....It's not necessarily an econo box but it is based off one....and just because a car is fast, it doesn't put it in the same league. Lots of Japanese cars have big HP but I hate the way they drive and they feel cheap....they're ALMOST as bad as BMW :)

I speak from experience son....I own one, it's an 05 325 and it's the biggest piece of shit I have ever purchased. This is what I base my opinion on. No, I don't envy the power, I really don't care how much power it has. 335....I think it's ugly and the quality is lacking (again, from my own experience), so how about you stop calling people morons unless you can offer some similar experience jackass.
I bash the company because the car I bought from that company was junk, has given me more problems than ANY car I have ever owned (been through at least 10 I can remember now) and they won't stand behind their product. I have several ongoing problems that the dealership either can't or won't fix (yes, I've switched dealers TWICE) Yeah, it has more power than my Audi but it makes no difference to me. I refuse to even drive the BMW anymore because it's such a lump...I'm afraid something new will break. 14 months and counting on the lease and I'll be done.

BTW, I put down a measly 243.1 AWHP on very little timing, 18 PSI, stock exhaust manifold, stock cat, and 93 oct. A mustang dyno at that.

agreed 100%. 4 door 3 series is boxy and ungly, little better looking then a new5 series but still has Chris Bangle written all over it. Now BMW did a bang up job on the 3 series coupe, it is a great looking car and 335 turbo is unreal, i drove one and could not believe the power that baby had.
If it wasn't for having two small kids, i'd be driving that car right now. I'm sorry to say but Audi don't come close.

Between my wife and i we owened 6 Bimmers over the years. The only one i had trouble with was my old 8 series, but all other cars we had (and still have) are great and very reliable. My old '97 540 had 246 (yes two hundred and forty six) thousand miles on before it got totaled and i'm sure i would have got to 300 if it wasn;t for the accident.
Look, yo all can hate me and bash me all you want for what i'm saying here. My Audi is a very nice car and i'm starting to realy enjoy it, but it is still not to to par with BMW on the overall driving experiance especialy handling. Just about the only thing i'll give Audi is the styling.

Amen to that. the e38/e39 type interior was one of the best ever. The a4 interior is kind of similat to thouse interiers, that one of the reasons i realy like it. Bangle f-d the interiors on the new Bimmers almost as bad as the styling on the 5 series.
but still i think even new BMW interiors have more expensive/refined feel to it.

bmws are great cars, ive always been torn apart between b6 a4 and e39's. i love driving my friends 540s and 745s. the 7 has just always been too big for me to drive it hard but damn that car is nice. the 3 series i've always hated and i think they are ugly as sin. the e46 m3 just grew on me this year after this whole time. but something about the 3's just grinds my gears. 335i's engine makes it prettier than it is.
and the i-drive can drive a person crazy.

Some of you may not like BMW's, but they hold value better than Audi's. I kind of like the older BMW's myself. I'd like to have one of the 95 or so 540's with the 6spd transmission. The only BMW I've driven that I didn't care for was the M6. I didn't like the way the interior was setup. It had this huge console in the back seat and the curves of the car looked funny.

i drove a 328i of mine from my branch at enterprise today, i liked the steering, brakes would put u through the windshield.. hanlding was good but no quattro so it sucked to me lol! slow as hell off the line but once it was rolling, it was definitly faster than my lil a4.... but i would agree on the interior or at least the dash, it left something or a lot to be desired, but it seemed like a decent car over all

first of all like I posted earlier I have driven a GTRS Titronic with every single performance modification available for a B6 1.8t and it was very laggy and not fast at all once it gotboosting and a GTRS is a better turbo then the 71r ELIMINATOR you currently have it was boosting 1.3bar and I drove it back to back with a CVT GTRS that was only pushing 1Bar and that was way faster then the tip GTRS. A 335 pushes 280-290WHP that is more power then you dynoed at and thats how I know he has more power then you.

Steptronic's are running just about as quick as the 6mt. Recently a group of us ran at Famoso raceway and the steptronic had the quickest ET and trapped the same as the 6mt's.
I've ran plenty of 335I's step and 6 speed , honestly bro you would get beat down pretty good by a 335I auto or not.

you guys think that the 335 is much faster than the A4?? i was about to race a ferrari f430 with my bone stock a4.. lol.. [:D]
this guy was at my church with an f430 and we were just talking after..

Well thats a differnet story you might have been close to the F430 but a 335 is a totally different animal, I keep up with twin supercharged F430's all day long with my 1.8t. The Supercharged F430 takes me on launch by 1 car then I reel it in and by 4rd gear I'm usually 4-5 carlengths in front of it.
