I'll be changing my control arms very soon, possibly next week. Can't wait for the group buy. Just wondering who you would choose to change them for you. Choices are BBR Sportsline and Autobahn Motors. Please include a reason why you would choose either one. Thanks.

Heard BBR can be pretty pricey, they like to rip people off. No first hand experience, just what some guys said to me about their encounters with them.

You just looking for a shop? Mittler Motors in Newmarket is an Audi/VW specialist shop. Mechanics used to work at Pfaff. I know of another popular shop around, will try to get info.

Tom,
You ended up buying control arms yourself..?

I'm still hoping there is a RECALL soon...

Haven't bought them yet. I'm gonna have who ever I bring my car in to get them for me.

I know it will cost more, but I don't really wanna wait any longer. All the noises my front end is making is kinda scary, especially when I have to take the highway.
Right now I'm waiting for a quote from BBR. Still haven't gotten in touch with Autobahn yet though.
Does this affect all 8 or is it just a few of them that actually need replacing?

I've had great experiences at Eurotech in Etobicoke. They specialize in German cars. I've had my brakes replaced there, as well as a wheel bearing done there. They finished the job at the time they promised, with no suprises and were very courteous. Most importantly, their prices were siginifcantly less than other places, including Autobahn. For example, I was charged $207 including tax, labor and parts for a rear wheel bearing replacement, while Autobahn quoted me $320 for the same job.

Here is their info:

don't go to BBR - i won't slander anyones name so we will leave it at that -

Attila is located in north york - keele and finch area

i agree the people u have listed know Audi's but neiter of them will do it for a good price - and AFAIK neither have a VAG.com which is a bonus IMHO (Attila has one)
