Hi. Just traded my '01 A4 1.8TQM sedan for a '07 A4 3.2TQM Avant. Both cars have factory sport suspension. The '01 had 17" Celebration wheels and the '07 has 18" 5-spokes.
The wheel gap on the '01 was even front to back, but that's not the case with the '07 - there is more of a gap in the front than the back. The fender opening is 26.75" above the pavement in front (measured though the cente of the wheel), while in back the same masurement is 25.5". I prefer the rear height over the front.
Is this the way it should be from the factory, or is something amiss here? I would think the front and back should be the same, correct?
Thanks.
