I bought the Defi HUD turbo-timer/boost gauge from another AZ'er a while back but instructions are in Japanese.

Boost gauge should be no problem for me but the Turbo timer part of this gadget I'm not sure how to go about connecting it all up and making it work with the factory alarm, ignition, e-brake etc...

I was informed that Agravic on here could help, as he's helped someone else before.
Agravic can you do a write up on something like that or can anyone else be of any assistance on this install please ?
This is on a 2001.5 S4.

TIA.
Matt

i don't have the wiring colors in front of me. but there should still be the install manual on www.defi-shop.com

those wires you can cross reference with the tech faqs already out there.

Think I've been there already with no luck ...but I'll give it another go at it and see if I can locate it.

If I can't ...do you mind if I contacted you in the near future for some pointers?

thanks for quick response like this.

Who needs wiring schematics.

The colors on the turbo timer wires are black, red, green, and blue correct?

Those are the main wires. All you will need to do the install.

There's plenty of info I've written up already in the archives that should help you with the colors and wiring.

Not hard at all. All the turbo timers that I've done have had the same color wires.

PM me if you have any other questions.

there's also 20 ga red, black, orange and blue as well as the commonly found 10-12ga red, black green blue.

if you've done as many installs as me, not all timers are the same. ie. the first gen greddy's blue and green are exactly the opposite functionality.

he asked for help. i gave him "help" not tell him its "easy"

I havent had much time lately to mess with it so the HUD is still in the box.. other things have been piling up on me recently like: House A/C broke, one of my rims on my S4 is cracked and leaking air, had surgery on my ankle, and other miscelleneous crap... so have not been messing with anything on the car lately...life threw some bad luck my way this last couple of weeks but not to bore anyone with my crap...

my ankle is getting better and I can limp around now so I'll be getting to some mods next week or two.....I have like 4-5 things I'll be putting on the car all in one weekend...Exhaust, HUD TT/gauge, DTS, AWE S-flo and possibly Labree DP's if my offer is accepted with the guy I'm talking to via email... All these are on hold because of the above crap in my life.

Anyway, I probably will need some help once I get into the nitty gritty of the install, and I'll post my questions or PM you guys.
Thanks for all the help to both of you Agravic and ChaoticS4...Both of your experience in installing such gadgets is irreplacable for someone like myself and anyone else reading these posts.
REALLY Appreciate both of you chiming in with your help.

You'll probably see this post bumped up in a couple of weeks with some questions once I start the install process.

cheers,
Matt
