I have a n00b question about the Revo...

http://www.revotechnik.com/revo/revo/usa/usrevo.html

On this link from the manufacturers webpage, it says there are two versions of the 1.8T... 1 w/ 153 bhp and 1 w/ 160 bhp

Some questions...

1) are these numbers at the crank or the wheels

2) which one is the spec on a US model quattro 6 speed?

3) So for $499, I can add 30 relative horsepower to my car?

4) For $199 more, I can flip between the Revo and my stock ECU with the SPS1?

5) Do I still need to replace my stock ECU with an aftermarket unit?

Thanks in advance for all the answers. I know there is an on-going REVO / GIAC debate so I wanted to learn a little more about the REVO since Derrick (Villains) is such a fan.

1) bhp = brake horsepower (wheel hp)
2)
3) yes, with GIAC and REVO you can
4) yes
5) no. they will flash your ecu through the diagnostics port under your dash by the hood latch

All you'll need is a set of copper spark plugs to get rid of the "hesitation" issue with Revo. BTW, I have the SPS-1 swithcing device and everytime I have to go to the stealership, it works very well.

Thanks, I just read up a lot more about the REVO software on the Internet. It looks like even with out a turbo upgrade, cars running the Revo have sizeable power gains when paired with a few bolt-on mods.

This link says it all...

If the power gains on this link are true, then the E05 upgrade that Derrick has should be putting out quite a sizeable amount of power over this.

Why is the torque on the 2nd graph lower?? Isn't it suppose to get some gains also?[confused]
