S2's were only sold in Europe... any S2 replicas you see in the US had their CQ engines replaced with a 20vt. You can check out what we missed out on by search for "Audi S2" on www.ebay.co.uk. Lots of parts that cost an arm and a leg for shipping across the pond though.

yeah the s2 was not legal for US spec. I do believe they were sold in Canada though correct me if im wrong.

Unfortunately Canada never got them either :(
However with the 15 year import rule you see more and more S2s on the Canadian roads

there was a dude in rhode island with a nice conversion, i contacted him but he decided not to sell it.

he did say he'd sell all the s2 parts in another car, but not in the coupe body? IRRC

Though the CQ is "rare"...there are a lot of 20V CQ conversions to S2 spec. Check Audiworld.com.
