Everybody is talking about Revo and GIAC chips and how good they are. It feels like I'm the only one using APR chip
I have APR ECU upgrade in my B6 A4 with two programs (chipped 91 and stock mode) and I've been very happy with that.
How much power I lose in APR compared to GIAC/Revo?
Is the legal battle with REVO and APR settled yet?

2 weeks
if you like it then and think it's fast enough, GIAC,REVO,MTM or whatever chip is out there. if your happy with the perforamce and had no problems then APR is what works for you. [:)]

I personally dont like APR stuff.. It maybe nice a smooth and all, but its just not enough juice.
Ive been in a GIAC car and "raced" an APR Stg2+ (both had exhaust) on the fwy and the Giac just walked away from the Apr..
Thats why i got Giac[:D]
i just got flash loaded this morning with the GIAC drive-by-wire software and i'm really happy with it. [:D]

I have the Thermal Race turbo back along with the chip, so it's quite juicy but I haven't seen GIAC walking away yet [:D] so maybe that's the reason I still have APR.
Do other chip manufactures have this stock/chip mode option? So you can put it on stock mode when you take it to dealer?
At that time when I got my APR, they had a offer that you get 2nd program free (usually +$149.00)

Revo can switch back and forth from stock as well as a variety of other programs. There is also no "chip" with revo so the dealer can't visually see anything. The program is uploaded through the diagnostic port.
I am definitely going with Revo when I get chipped. I have read stories of Revo chipped cars pulling on Giac cars. Never been in a chipped car myself though. [:(]

I had the Apr 6hr trial and i didn't like it
at all and the revo didn't have it for my type
of Ecu so i didn't try it.
but since i want a Turbo upgrade i didn't get any chip.
The only chiped a4 i have seen in Mexico is the oettinger,
it seems only ok, not so powerful.
