whats up guys, i was looking over on navplus, but the information on retrofitting nav into the Q7 is a bit sketchy.

i basically just have two questions, the first is:

to what extent is the Q7 prewired for nav? is it just a question of sourcing the DVD drive, or are there other connecters, antennas, etc. necessary. if you do need an antenna, is the factory sharkfin prewired for satnav?

the second is about sourcing the parts/kit. i saw that kufatec sells a solution for about a grand, but wanted to see if people are sourcing these cheaper on the boards? if so what kind of pricing is everyone getting and what is all included?

i was thinking using the kufatec install kit (if it is necessary in us spec cars) and having one of the experts source the actual dvd drive might be the way to go.

answers are appreciated, tia

Just recently retrofitted Nav on MMI High. Bought the DVD unit that came with the wiring off ebay.

Having some problem with the calibration right now. Everything seems to be lagging. For exampe, I would make a turn, then 2-3 km the arrow on the nav would start to turn. During that 2-3 km, the arrow would go straight. When it realized I'm in the wrong location, it jumps back to the correct spot until the next turn.
