I am alwasy running into big ****ing bugs it seems, and my front bumper is always speckled in rainbow colors. They don't come off easy, and I was wondering what you guys do to get them off!
Bug/Tar remover? What's the most powerful solvent I can use without damaging the paint?

I usually hit the bugs really good with the hose.. Most of them come off that way, and then i just wash like normal..

Blast them with the hose, then just wash.
Might have to go over the section more than once, but eventually the water loosens them up.

I used turtle wax bug and tar remover to get most of them off and whatever didn't come off with that I went over with a clay bar. looked good as new after that.

Cool thanks for the tips guys, I'll have at it with Bug remover first, and then I'll try power washer. I don't trust myself with claybar.

using a clay bar on your car is not as difficult as you might think. I clayed my car for the first time about a month ago. unbelievable difference. just use alot of detail spray. i think i used four bottles of detailer to clay my whole car.... just try it you won't regret it

The best weapon against bugs is actually wax. By that I mean that if you keep a decent slick surface, the bugs wipe off pretty easy with a regular wash. I've been doing this for a long time and rarely do I have to do anything special for bugs. Just keep your ride waxed and you shouldn't have any major bug problems.
