Replacing running lamp bulb

Have a 2006 A8L and the daytime running light went bad on my leftsde.
I looked and it looks like you have to remove the whole damned headlight to get to the $1.50 bulb. I found two bolts on top and two in the back but my question is the lighting harness fastens how?
Anyone done this before?

isnt it still under warranty? take it to the dealer

They told me that bulbs and even headlights are not under warranty after 6 months. That totally blows.

I got it out and replaced ok.
Be careful if you do it yourself becuase you don't want to break the holder.
I believe counterclockwise is the way it spins off.
