Has anyone had to deal with Audi on a buy back? My car just got out of the shop, its been there for 19 days for the same stupid problem. The law in California is 30 days or the 4th time for the same issue.

My friends Buddy just lemon lawed a MB e500...

they drew up the paperwork, and ended up buying it back sans lemon law so they could sell it to some poor sap without the lemon law buyback in carfax... make the motions and see what happens... they HAVE to buy it back so I wouldnt worry about that, its more what are you going to get for it.

My brother in law may have to do the same thing with his S4. Apparently it is something with the coil packs and a rough idle. The CEL came on the first day he got it, then it went away. A couple weeks later, it came on again and he took it to the dealer. They replaced the coil packs in 4 days and the day he got it back he got a CEL again. So he has to take it in again.

Didn't Brooks (Bdaddy) get his S4 bought back? I forget why... but sold back his silver S4 and got a red(?) S4.

Damn. I'd be livid if i just spent 50K and my shit was breaking. They'd hate to have me as a customer after something like that...i'd make sure of that.

yes he did. PM him on what he went through, since he's rarely on the boards

Its the tranny problem, I just got her back yesterday and it seems to be ok. The first issue was the Reverse gear synchro's froze. The second tranny was just a peice of sh**, the gears where whining and the rear differencial was making a horrific noise and vibration.

The A/C in my A4 didn't work when I first got it. I had to push hard with the dealer to get a loaner car. I took the car back 1 week after I got it and they fixed it under warranty.

I don't understand how $35,000+ cars can not work perfectly from the factory. These aren't Kia's and they're definitely a step above Hondas and Toyotas.

Sheesh.
