I would like to get a test pipe without switching to REVO so that I don't have to worry about the check engine light. I have GIAC right now and would like to stay w/ that. If I install a test pipe, what do I do about the check engine light? TIA

the only person I know w/ a test pipe is Drew (DLSJ5), maybe he'll chime in and drop a lil science.

He is right, both Drew and I have Revo software. The only trick that I can think of is from my old Mustang days. You would have to buy a resister to replace the O2 with. I know a bunch of Mustang shops have them, you can try searching on www.corral.net I have posted about it there. Other then that, I think you are stuck. Unless you can get GIAC to shut off the second O2.

I missed this post when I first replied. LAS is right, you would need something like this.

Exactly. The test pipe bolts right on to where the stock cat is so swapping them is easy.

Does the test pipe change the sound of the exhaust at all?

Yes, it made my exhaust louder and deeper.

It doesn't drone at all, in fact when you are cruising you still can't really tell you have an exhaust. The only time it is louder is right at idle and when you are at full throttle. At cruise there is very little difference. As far as how much louder, well that is hard to measure. It is not too bad. I feel the same way about my exhaust and didn't want it to get too much louder. All in all I am still very happy with the sound level.
