Nope AEB is the engine code for the 97-99.5 non- Drive by wire 1.8t's

You either have:

AUG, AWM & AMB engine code..

Prolly AMB, thats what i remember my 01 A4 being[:D]

What do all of those mean, AUG, AWM, AMB, AEB? I understand they are the engine code.

just look in the spare tire well. there should be a white sticker with a bunch of techincal information about your car, and toward the top is the engine code.

They are VW engine codes but same as the Audi.
