Just saw MotorTrend online and look what they said.
2005 Audi RS4 : The RS4 is expected to outshine the radical S4 with a biturbo 4.2-liter/450-horsepower V-8.
What a beast, can't wait.

How come they are deciding to make an RS4 now and now have one that is a B5 here? I take it that the RS4 is going to be a B6?
is the same engine as the RS6, sure is going to be a B6 thats the new body style, They made an RS4 b5 but only for Europe.

it's gonna have to be huge. It was hard enough for them to shoe-horn that V-8 into the B6 S4, and that was minus 2 turbochargers.

I looked around and found this on edmunds.com "2005 rs4" ..its going to be based on the b6 platform, the v8 biturbo its still an assumption.
"Not content to leave well enough alone, Audi may import this ultrahigh-performance version of the A4 sedan next year. Unlike the potent S4 which uses a larger V8 for power, the RS4 may revert back to twin turbochargers hooked to a 3.0-liter V6. Spy photos of a prototype circling Germany's famous Nurburgring test track show a car with a slightly lowered stance and exaggerated bodywork similar to the midsize RS6. If it does in fact show up on American shores, don't expect it until next spring at the earliest. "

i should hope it dosn't arrive until next spring. any sooner and it'd cause mass hysteria. dealerships would collapse, gas stations would have record months, police wouldn't be able to keep up, supercars would die of embarassment, DOT offices wouldn't be able to repair all of the torn up road, america would become a feudal country...
ok maybe that's a bit far but you get the gist of it.

this has been known for quite some time.. that is also a very old picture.
form what i've read, its still undetermined for the motor..
the latest i read on euro site was a highly tuned N/A V8...
of course that would put all the reasoning aside.. to have the S models be N/A and the RS be turbos.. we all just need to wait and see what the car will that none of us can afford will be...
