Master Cylinder

How can I tell if my master cylinder needs to be replaced? Is there anything I need to be aware of to test?

Sorry...yes the brakes...no visible leaks...however, I'm experience other problems and want to eliminate the fact that it's not the master cylinder.

I posted another thread about my brakes engaging and disengaging constantly under both hard and normal braking.

I figured it could be the ABS system, but I wanted to be sure it's not anything else.
