You work all your life for a car like that, at the point that you are too old to drive it...
And thats what happens...[rolleyes]

it's not exactly wrecked, but how much do u think that'll cost to repair? i'll say 10-15k
RippleChip

haha, that's right...too slow!
You could probably buy a Boxster for the price to repair.

I say more. Just because of what it is.

I bet just that rear bumper painted is worth $15k. I'd say $45k. A guy I know was driving his aunt's orange murcielago when his retarded buddy that was driving next to him bumped into the front driver side quarter pannel. No paint was chipped and after cleaner wax it just looked like someone hit it with a basketball. The damage was estimated at $12k, but ended up being $18k. So yeah, the carrera gt costs more, and that has A LOT more damage so I'm guesstimating around 50 g's.

All i can say is that i hope it wasn't the owners fault, and if it was someone elses fault, i feel bad for that person having to pay for the repairs

that porsche did not deserve that. stoopid idiot...go to driving school, or look behind you when you back up.

I originally thought he probably got rearended...but "or look behind you when you back up." makes me wonder if he backed up into what looks to be a pole. lol that would suck.

From that damage I say pole.
But he could afford the car, sure he can afford to fix it.

looks like he backed up into a pole... cant believe that it'll cost like 50k to fix that! hope his insurance covers it.

If you can afford the car you can afford the repair. I agree, looks like he backed into a pole. Just because you have money does not mean you know how to drive.

I say the dealer has the right not to give him back his car. Porsche should have a screaning process like adoption agenices do.

Just imagine one day you're driving, and you pull up at a light next to that awe-inspiring work of art we know as the Carerra GT, and you cruise with it for a bit, checkin' it out. You're behind it now, admiring it's beauty and you don't realize he's stopping and you smash into it. Now imagine the feeling in your gut after realizing you just smashed into a 400,000 supercar. That would be sickening. But yes it looks like he backed into a pole.
If he doesn't want to fix it, I'll take it off his hands for free and he doesn't even have to worry about fixing the cosmetics. [cool]

I've read the story about that accident. Someone rear ended him in a pickup truck at a stoplight. Apparently the guy in the truck thought that he was going to take off when the light turned green. He was on the final test drive with the salesperson when it happened.

well it's a good thing he was test driving it and not driving the car home from the dealership after purchasing it!

He can get an aftermarket rear bumper now
Last tuesday my friends uncle was picking up a Carerra 4 when the guy brought it around and parked it he put it into neutral and left it there. He didnt put the parking brake up and the Carerra rolled out the lot and into the street where it got hit by a Tow truck. Good thing he hadnt signed the last signing place
