I just got a speeding ticket a few hours ago[:(] I guess I was going 54 in a 35mph zone. It was right off of the freeway and I wasn't paying attention. BTW the cop was super nice and didn't say anything about my mods. He waited behind me for a second and I started to smell gas from my testpipe and thought I was screwed. He asked if it was an a4 or s4 and said he loved my car(but not enough to let me go[:p] ) Anyways, do you guys know how much this ticket is probably going to cost me? Also how much is online traffic school? Thanks

Well, the cop may have actually saved ur a$$. WHere i got my ticket, the second level of speeding was 10-19 over. You were 19 over. Dunno if the levels are the same, but he may have saved you some money.

I think my kid has the record. He was coming home from school several years ago at 2:00am, driving through Howard County Maryland and got clocked at 95 mph. Being a college student, dear ol' dad had to pick up the tickets. He got written up for two separate tickets. One for speeding and one for reckless driving. I paid the tickets online and still got charged court cost. Bottom line... total bill $916

He also lost his license and had to go to traffic school.

I think I beat you buddy speed wise. I topped out my A4 5sp and started to slow down and I saw a statie around the bend of the highway on the side of the road at the last minute. Mind you it was midnight with minimal traffic if that really matters. He got me at 101mph in a 55 zone. He didnt turn his radar on until the last minute so I had no chance what so ever slowing down in time. The second he was in my view my radar already went off and got bagged. He was actually pretty nice and calm considering I almost commited a felony. Hes like "you know I could arrest you right now?" Im like "I have no idea" He then went back to his car wrote up his ticket and came back to my car saying that I had to appear in court surprise surprise....The was first ticket mind you after 3 years of driving. All I have to say is court sucks. I was there for 5 hours. It was the longest 5 hours of my life. I was one of the last to leave and left with a $1000 fine with $300 suspended on 1yrs good conduct and $100 deducted if I take safe driving school. The comes to a grand total of $600 plus $100 to get my license back.

^^^^ Smart. First lesson in radar detecting. Never speed without cars in front of you.
