ok here is the deal. a while ago i came to you guys for some help about the RS4 front bumper and i was told that a body shop can heat mold the bumper to fit the s4. well after asking seriously about 20 different body shops, none of them said they could do it, and it probably wouldn't work and i would be responsible for the ruined bumper.........so i guess my question is who the hell heat molded your guys' bumpers (those of you with the RS4 bumper w/out the wide body kit) and is it worth risking the $800 or so on something that may fail??????

Did you got to ACH tuning there in Seattle? They know exactly whats going on. I'm not sure if they have a shop, and could do it for you or not. Im sure they would know where to go. But I know the guys that roll' that place know whats going on.

Yes, the trick is finding a good shop that is talented enough to tackle a custom project. Most places can't and won't. Of course this custom work costs $$$...
I can recommend a good shop down here in CA. [:)]

Hey skibum. You asked me about my RS4 bumper over in the member gallery but I'll respond here.
I too didn't trust anyone local to do the install. Therefore, I had to come up with another plan. Mark from Autospeed Performance concacted me and we decided to have him modify/test fit my OEM RS4 bumper on his S4 and then ship the bumper to me for paint. Mark did a pretty good job with the work and he was great when it came to telling me how to do the installation. The bumper fit is about 95% perfect but I want to make it 100%. Since it's on the car and it's obvious what needs done, my local body shop should be able to make the thing damn near perfect.
Give Mark a call and discuss everything with him. 856.207.5941
