You can program it yourself, there is a write-up on Audiworld. It is really easy to do. I bought an uncut remote off ebay and I had the dealer cut it for free.

Make sure thats the remote you can use. I was told my a dealer that they remote that has 4 buttons(unlock, lock, trunk, and panic) can't be used for the 3 button remotes(lock, unlock, panic).

Yeah I have the three button on my 98 and the range is not worth a shit.

Trunk button cannot pop our trunks, we dont' have the mechanism.

I didn't think so. I guess 99Blue1.8t has the 4 button remote, do those work for our cars(with the exception of the trunk button)?
