Some punks decided that eggs are cool

and threw them at my car as we drove past each other. They had some pretty damn good aim and got that egg to go through my open window, it flew past my head (honestly like 1/2 inch away from my face) and smack...right into my back window. At first I was just shocked as to what happened and thought to myself that it must have been a waterballon seeing how it splashed all over my car. I then breathed with my nose and realized that it was an egg! Needless to say I was pissed. I flipped a b!tch and tried to chase them down (I was ready to fight 4 guys if I had to, but as some of you know... I'm the furthest thing from a fighter) and found what I thought was the car. I followed them for awhile just to realize that it was a couple in their 30s. Luckily I was meet some of my friends at home so the clean up went pretty quickly but there is egg shell stuck between the 3rd brake light and the window, and the goo is still all up in the ceiling crap. So my question to you guys is how would I get the egg shell out and how would I be able to get that crap out of my ceiling? I'm fearing parking my car out in the sun then coming back and puking due to the smell. So any advice would be awesome. Is there any detailing place in the Orange County area that you guys would suggest? I'm just kinda freaking out about it still. also that black trim around the windows (the hard black not the rubber) got a bit chipped from the egg so can any ole paint shop fix that or am I just going to have to be pissed everytime I look at it? Karma is a bitch and hopefuly when they get a sick ride someone will be klind enough to return the favor.

After a really good cleaning you may still have to go to a quality detail shop that has a deionizer. They can put that machine in your car and run it all day long to help remove the possible odor.

Wow,, people are so dum. Glad to hear you are ok, it could have been much worse had the egg hit you and caused you to lose control.

And just FYI,, when it hits your paint, it shatters the clear coat like a spider web all around the impact area. Kids think they are harmless pranks,,, not so.

[mad] That is really pathetic. I wish you could have found them, called the police, and make them pay for it. People like that never learn until it is something of thiers that is damaged/vandalized.

For cleaning it up, just use lots of soap/water and a sponge, towel,..etc., to sop it up as best you can. Keep getting it wet with the soapy solution and then soak it up. And you might want to take that area apart to be sure you get all of it.
Then pick up some enzyme cleaner (like they use for pet stains/odors, vomit,..etc). This will break down the egg and help remove it and the smell. Essential oils will also help mask the smell in the meantime. There is also a material called "Zeolite" (volcanic clay) that you can buy in ventilated bags and this will absorb much of the smell (off gassing) of the egg, and anything else. Place it near the area and leave it in your car over night to help. You can pick up the enzyme cleaners and pet stores, health-food markets (Mothers, Wild Oats, Whole Foods), and most other markets I would think. I can't think of a detail supply store that is open on Sunday.

I'd spend a few dollars to get it cleaned professionally if it was all over everything. Don't need that getting stuck in the car.

If its just a bit, you can take the rear decklid off to get between the window and the third brakelight for that bit of shell.

I'm with Darryl on this one. You need an enzyme cleaner to break down the egg.
-Did anyone see that mythbusters where they had a guy clean out a car with dead pigs in it? Anyway, the cleaning guy (and his company) clean cars that have had dead people/things in them. They tear the car apart and use a heavy duty enzyme cleaner to break down the blood and whatever else is inside. Tear it apart and clean every spot thoroughly.

Thanks alot for all the info. I'm going to go try to pick up some of the things suggested but tomorrow I'm going to get it detailed. Maybe this is a good time for me to get the S4 ceiling. And ya I mean I did stupid stuff in high school (a whole year ago) but I never NEVER vandalized people's property, it's just rude. I was thinking about calling the cops and telling them what happened just in case someone else caught the kids so that way they could charge the kids for what they did to me too, actually I'll go to the police dept. while I'm out just too see if that happened. Similar thing happened to me...but only the eggs hit my hood...which left that nasty-as*s starburst shape...non-chalantly followed the car and waited for the high schoolers to get inside their house. is this like egg season or something?!?! luckily for you the eggs hit inside the car!! i find you a lucky fellow!! my honda got egged a few weeks ago..by AT LEAST SIX eggs...3 definitely hit the door..at least 3 hit the window...it was horrendous. even after cleaning it up right after..and some major detailing ...there's still paint damage - spider web like scratches on my door. it's horrendous!

i believe in karma! they'll get theirs in the end! hopefully by an ostrich egg!! grrrrrrr!

Again, thanks everyone. Actually at this point in time I wish they had hit my car. I have some paint chipped off of the hard black trim around the windows and also around the black rubber part and I found out that if I wanted to fix it, it would be very very expensive! $200 for the parts but the labor would be insane. They would have to remove everything like the ceiling and back seats and cut out the small triangle window ect ect. So it looks like I'm going to have to deal with it which really really pisses me off. I'm taking my car in tomorrow to get it detailed which is going to cost like $65 so that's not too bad but still it just blows. My car still smells too [:(] so to help me get over this I'm buying some new stuff: The Simpsons Season 4 DVD, AMS Short Shifter, Tycoon Black Shift Boot, and Rob Knob Weighted Shift Knob[:D]

I don't know if this is just coincidence or not but I just saw on Channel 4 news that they busted some kids going on a vandalism spree w/ pellet guns/eggs/etc apparently they caught one kid setting off bottle rockets and when they searched his vehicle they found some evidence including video of their acts. You might want to contact the Torrance PD and see if this is the same kids.
