While we're on the tinting subject, just had a question for everyone that has had their car tinted...

Does anyone notice that the rear windows are somewhat reflective when using the same type of tint? I also had my vehicle recently tinted, and noticed that the rears seem almost metallic at certain angles. I'm aware that stock windows are tinted from the factory, however, is it a possibility that it would create this type of discrepancy? FYI, the fronts are 34% while the rears are limo. I double checked that the proper film was used. Am I just being crazy? Thanks for the help.

My car is also black, so that might add to the effect...

i kind of noticed that too before when my old car was tinted. i think its a visual perception having to do with the front windshield not being tinted and that floods in more light to the front of the cabin. the rear always has tint on the rear windshield and rear doors thus making the rear cabin darker. and the darker it is the more reflection you will have vs. the front. just my 2 cents....

looks really nice, love the bike, also a quick question, 25% means what? that only 25% of the light is let in? or that 25% is blocked?

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Because the light comes in from the front, the rears will look somewhat different. I'm sure that if you tinted the front windshield limo, and looked at the car from the opposite side, it would have the same affect.... I was going to do an experiment where I would completely cover the front windshield, blocking all light, and then do a 360 around the car to see if there was a difference, but my gf says that I am a freak. So be it...

Any one else like to comment? Thanks for the help.

I'm sure that having a black car just adds to this effect, but it bugs the crap out of me everytime I see it during the day. It's like what Morpheus said... " Like a splinter for your mind!!" Ahhhh. Someone needs to tell me some type of factual info so that I can feel sane again.
