do i just crimp on one of those U connectors to the power wire..and then loosen the bolt....then stick it under there...and tighten the bolt
hope that made sense
plus...this is for a boost guage....can i also double up..and hardwire my radar detector to the same terminal

basically yea, thats the idea.....pretty straight forward. Not sure about double up, but I dont' see the harm in it.
However, most people will put in an inline fuse since you are wiring directly to the terminals

and will 10 amperes be enuf?

I haven't bothered with a fuse for any of my gauges. Yes, you can double-up on the terminal. I have power running to my gauge lights, and power to my oil pressure and EGT gauges. So I'm tripled-up. What a pain to fit =/

would 75x be a good terminal to wire a radar detector?
will it stay on all the time..or only when the headlights are turned on?

75X is switched, so it will be on all the time once the key is turned.
