sorry i couldn't resist. turns out i had a cracked hose from my intake manifold ( makes you think..wonder how long it's been cracked). neuspeed's the bomb as customer service goes. props to neuspeed for taking care of my baby. i'll have butt dyno results tonight. real dyno results will come when i find the time to get it done. [cool]

I am getting an E05 installed on my car tomorrow with the Revo software. Lets plan a day and both go to AMS and dyno our cars together. That way we can really compare the SK04 and E05. No more speculation or BS, just hard numbers. We are both Quattro so it would be a good comparison; same dyno on the same day.

It would be good comparison but I dont think they'll be able to get Steves and mine car going till they totaly revise '04 software, and thats probably not gonna happen for at least 6 more months.

Damn, you guys are getting the same BS I was from PES. They kept telling me the new software is only a few weeks away. Of course it never happened. They (PES) STILL haven't solved the issue. I hope you guys don't end up with the same problem. Hopefully Neuspeed will be more upstanding then PES/GIAC.

apparently my problems were due to a fauly hose off of the intake manifold. it was cracked like a mofo, but completely unvisible when snooping around for leaks. props again to neuspeed for excellent snooping skills/troubleshooting. fortunetely mines is an 02' so software was good to go.

the kit's running great. steady power that pulls steady till redline. i don't think i'm running to max output due to a clogged cat. my mani and cat glow an intoxicating red after a short hard run. i have a few more mods on my list then i should be done with the engine. that is..until a reliable 300hp solution is released. the next thing on my list is a fmic for sure, with a good chance of an upgraded oil cooler. anyone have a suggestion for the cooler?

No they are done. I think it's the software issue on mine, cuz theres no way that I should only make extra 25-30 WHP (butt dyno) with the kit and I'm also pinging like crazy at low RPM's.

i must have missed that latest update...i know that AoA have been changing programming on the ecu's every new model year making it that much harder for tuners to "crack" the codes.

im really glad to hear that your sk04 kit turned out fine. mine was getting installed and i had some problems with bolts but we took care of it. the original stock bolts wouldn'tve been able to handle the new turbo's power but neuspeed overnighted the right bolts and fixed the problem. i am in japan right now and had my brother pick up my car for me. he said it was running fine. i cant wait till im home to try it out for myself. ^_^

Steve, the glowing is normal. All turbos do that. My T28 did it and the E05 does it. As far a cat, why don't you do a test pipe from E Code? It is cheap and will give you more HP then any high flow setup. Plus you can easily replace your stock cat when it comes time to get her smogged.

no no, i realize this, but it's an extreme case. some testing was done and it determined that the cat was clogged so a certain degree. i can see some glowing red closer to the dp. i'm taking my car in on tuesday.

i was gonna go the TP route but don't think i can live with a cel. who knows, i guess i'm decide after tuesday. 15 whp is 15 whp. [:D]

We have to run our cars man. I really want to see the difference between the E05 and the SK04. I talked to David and he has a cat that we can put on your car (it is not clogged) if you want. Or just bite the bullet and get the test pipe. Either way, I think everyone wants to see what the difference will be between the two.

yea man , i'd love the comparison, but this is my everyday driver. as much as the point needs to be proved i need to resolve this for my own cars sake. tell dave thanks for the offer. that is, unless he's selling it...
