Is the US Concert II plug-compatible with the US Concert?

I just bought a 2001 TT Quattro Roadster. It has the Bose speakers, but the original owner replaced the Concert head unit with a JVC. I want to restore the factory unit. Do I have to go with the Concert model (cassette), or would it be a straightforward install with a Concert II model (in-dash CD)? I plan to use a Phat box instead of a CD changer.

I confess that I am cross-posting this in both the TT forum and the Telematics forum, because I am unsure where to put this request.
