View Full Version : Stay Wett or get Revo'd...

Here's my problem.

I have the Wett chip already and initially I was very happy with it. But since I have done some modifications like installing a twin IC and neuspeed exhaust, things are not so great. Basically, my low end torque is gone. I'm trying to figure out a way to get it back. I've emailed Wett and they keep telling me they're working on a new software revision for me, but nothing yet...three weeks so far.

Now I keep reading positive posts about the Revo programming. Since my chip is socketed, Revo says I can just put the stock chip back in, ship the ECU to them, and get it back next day with a free Forge DV. Not bad huh. Cost for the chip is $500, but the free DV is $135 and I need one anyway.

One more thing, I heard Revo programming works good with the ATP GT28RS turbo kits. Since I plan to eventually buy this kit I should recieve a discount on the new programming for the bigger turbo.

I know it looks like I've already decided to get the Revo, but I just wanted to get some feedback before I take the plunge.

By the way, anyone want a Wett chip really cheap. Just have to get your ECU socketed.

They'll give you a free Forge bpv? From who?

Ecode will give you a free Forge dv if you have to ship them the ecu. Otherwise they will come to your house and upload the program, but no free dv.

Probably not. Each new year Audi does minor changes to the ECU, just enough to make it neccessary to program a new chip.

I'll email Kelly at Wett just to make sure. Maybe they could just reflash the chip I have with the 04 program for a small fee.

I'll keep you posted.

My friend just got a 1.2 bar chip from Kelly in replacing with the standard 1 bar chip. Perhaps, you can check with Kelly for more details and my friend claimed that, 1.2 bar chip runs more smooth at mid and high rev but no difference at low rev vs the old 1 bar chip.

For your insight, he paid $100.00 more for the chip upgrade. So, you know how much more you need to pay.
