Initially, I was just going to lower it with only springs (H&R), simply just for the look. But, having read what a lot of people have to say about lowering your car with just springs (bouncy rides), I may go with a coilover set. I see that the least expensive c/o set are around $1-$1.5k. They're pretty expensive when compared to springs which sells around $250.

Are COs really worth the $?
Would installation on coilovers be that much more than installation on lowering springs?

Thanks for your help, any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated

For the most part the instal cost on C/O's will be about the same time as just springs, maybe a 20 min difference. I have had just springs on a previous car, and C/O's on another and The C/O's are worth every penny for me, the ride was night and day so much more comfortable and handled much better. Also I got the bouncy ride from just springs but I drive a ton, if you don't drive that much sometimes it is ok, but I drive over 30k a year and my shox went after a year. You could also do a shock and spring combo, just don't know if there are shocks for our cars.

mine cost me 0$ to install. i did em myself. really not a hard thing to do, basic hand tools, and rent a spring compressor from an auto parts store.

Check out the vogtland co's that startup racing offers. They sound nice based on his write up. $1K.
