k40 prices

My dad was quoted $2200. Is this a normal price to hardwire it into his car?

I'm thinking they are just trying to jack up the price since he has a bentley?

Anyone know about these? Thanks for any advice.

It seems steep but I have had both K40 and Escort ZR7 (with laser diffuser) and I can tell you that the Escort is much better the K40 and is the way to go IMHO if you are looking for a remote detector. It cost me about 1200 to get mine installed.
