Description: Please read the entirety of this post before responding.

I'm selling my 1998 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Sport (B5 generation). It has very low miles for its age (78k) and is in very good shape. I am the second owner and have owned the car since 2008. I purchased the car from a co-worker of mine who traveled for work (as do I) so the majority of these miles come from trips back and forth to the airport, which also explains the low miles. This is a 100% adult owned, adult driven car.

I have ALL service records since the car was purchased, including all manuals, window sticker and all supporting documentation. The paint is good, with its fair share of rock chips, door dings and that sort of thing, but in far better shape than 90% of cars this age. I own the car outright and have title in hand. It has never been in an accident or any type of fender bender.

This car is very close to stock, with very few modifications, which are as follows: tint (darkest legal tint) done by a professional high quality tint shop in Atlanta, APR exhaust which was installed at an Audi performance shop in Houston (I have receipts), aftermarket Rims (purchased from Tire Rack around 10k miles ago). Stereo is stock and is the upgrade Bose stereo from Audi. The car did have an APR flash to the computer which was installed on the car from around 35k - 78k. The computer recently died, so I had it replaced by a shop here in Boca Raton, removing the flash. I've spoken to APR and the tune can be registered to the new owner and re-flashed for a small fee. Depo aftermarket 1 piece HID headlights have been installed, replacing the stock two piece halogen lights. Euro plate is installed and will stay with car. The car is orginally from Texas, which requires front plates, thus the holes in the bumper are covered with the plate. I may have the front plate mount as well.

This is an excellent looking, well cared for, documented, two owner, low mileage, car.

The interior is in good shape, with only a small crack in the driver seat which has been repaired to prevent further cracking. The seats are in excellent condition all around.

This is the sport package, so it comes with a 5 speed manual, a slightly lowered (from the factory) suspension.

I recently purchased a new car and the Audi is now ready for sale. The car is priced according to KBB, with a "Good" rating being $5,275 and "Fair" being $4,700. I have an S4 rear lip spoiler already painted and ready to be installed, I just never got around to installing it. I will also include the stock wheels with the car. They currently have tires on them with little to no life left. The tires on the car still have plenty of life left in them.

If you are interested in the vehicle, please email me with your name, phone number, best time to call and any questions you may have about the vehicle. I will respond to all e-mail inquires with 12 hours.

Note: The above is the ad I have posted on CL, but I figure for the Audi Community, I'll go into a bit of the issues that I know of.

There's a small coolant leak in the engine. I was quoted $100 to fix it. It's just a hose that needs to be replaced.

The key fobs no longer work. I've replaced the batteries and tried to sync it to the new ECU that was just installed, but I wasn't successful. The issue is most likely caused by a bad door latch, but I've not had the time to figure it out.

The driver side CV boot is torn and needs to be replaced. It's an easy job or can be done by the shop that replaced the ECU for $250.

The P.O. did a crap job installing the Depos. The tape that was used to secure the balasts gave out and needs to be re-secured.

This is really a great car and would be a great starting point for someone wanting to get into the Audi scene.

Oh, and please please please... keep any negative feedback to yourself. If you think I've priced it too high, or you think it's a bum deal, keep it to yourself or PM me. I'd be more than happy to welcome any constructive feedback that you may have. Thanks!
